Surfacing is the share of a site's pages that have actually appeared in a
Google result in the last 90 days. It is a true floor on indexation — a page cannot appear
without being indexed — and it is the more useful question anyway: not "did Google store it"
but "is it showing up". Search Console's own indexed count is deprecated and always returns
zero, so it is not used here.
A low figure only means something after about six weeks. Before that, Google simply has not
finished crawling, and the dashboard will not flag it.
Progress is shown in traffic, not dollars. A projected revenue figure would
get read as real money. Time-to-rank is 6–12 months per site.
